How to Check Your Writing for Duplicate Text

Duplicate text can make a page feel thin, repetitive or unclear. Before publishing, it is helpful to compare your draft with your notes, source material or older versions of the same article. This helps you catch accidental copying, repeated sentences and sections that need better rewriting or citation.

A browser-based checker can only review the text you paste into it. It does not search the whole web. For serious academic, legal or publishing work, use proper review methods and give credit when you rely on another source.

What to improve

Look for copied sentence structure, repeated paragraphs and sections that do not add new value. The goal is to make the page useful for readers, not just different for a checker. Strong original content explains the topic clearly, adds examples and answers the search intent better than a copied summary.
